Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts. To ensure this occurs download the assessment matrix for the unit; enter each assessment task as a column header and place check marks against each performance criteria that task addresses.

Monitor quality and quantity of product and wastes generated to assure continuing production 
Use information sources to identify patterns and trends to confirm current status or anticipate developing situations 
Develop and implement options and contingency plans based on validation of information 
Prioritise and resolve alarms and/or warning system alerts in accordance with organisational procedures 
Respond to changed conditions in a timely manner or follow escalation protocols according to the situation 
Minimise impact of mechanical and product factors and environmental conditions affecting production 
Ensure waste and environmental exceedances are treated in accordance with procedures and waste disposed is within environmental and licence limit 
Identify and communicate actual performance targets according to daily plans and schedules 
Analyse data to determine possible causes or factors involved in suboptimal performance and determine most probable cause 
Determine preferred actions required and possible limitations and/or constraints 
Determine impact of possible upstream and downstream effects and confirm feasibility of preferred action 
Plan and communicate optimisation activities in consultation and close cooperation with stakeholders 
Evaluate, record and communicate optimisation outcomes in accordance with organisational requirements
